    The Chaplain Services Department performs a variety of duties to serve patients, families, and staff. The Department of Chaplain Services supports the hospital’s philosophy of total care by meeting the spiritual and, at times, the emotional needs of patients and families as they relate to the patient's medical condition. Chaplains provide initial spiritual screening and assessment, education concerning religious/cultural beliefs and other services.

    • companionship and friendship
    • times of reconciliation
    • times of helplessness
    • help with creating a connection with the divine
