Mobile C-Arm Unit-$218,400

Double your investment by supporting Sutter Roseville Medical Center Foundation’s 2013 Matching Grant. For every dollar you give, Sutter Health will double it!

This versatile X-ray-based imaging system promotes excellent precision in surgical procedures. Because an increasing number of physicians are sharing existing C-arms at the hospital, patients can be under anesthesia longer while their surgical teams wait for a machine to become available. Sutter Roseville seeks an additional C-arm to use with a growing number of orthopedic patients, providing for better operating room turnover, quality outcomes, and higher patient satisfaction.

MRI-$1 million

MRI provides good contrast between different soft tissues, making it useful in imaging the brain, muscles, the heart, and cancers, compared with other imaging techniques such as computed tomography (CT). In clinical practice, MRI is used to distinguish tumors from normal tissue, blockages in the veins and arteries, tears in ligaments and muscles, disc problems in the spine, and a variety of other uses. As volume and specialized service demands grow, Sutter Roseville Medical Center’s single MRI has been unable to keep pace. The Foundation seeks funding for an additional MRI that will meet community needs and can accommodate bariatric and claustrophobic patients.

Infusion Therapy Expansion-$750,000

Infusion Therapy Services at Sutter Cancer Center in Roseville offers advanced treatments in a comforting environment. Your support will help us to expand and upgrade our Infusion Therapy Center to accommodate a growing number of patients who need chemotherapy or other treatments.

Faxitron Digital Radiography System-$100,000

This mini X-ray machine instantly images breast biopsy and lumpectomy specimens in the operating room to verify excised breast tissue margins, which helps to ensure that every bit of mass has been removed. Physicians can quickly determine whether or not they have excised a sufficient margin, minimizing the possibility of re-excision. Because results can be determined quickly, the Faxitron reduces the amount of time under anesthesia by an average of 20 minutes.

Bronchial Thermoplasty Equipment-$50,000

An outpatient procedure that treats severe asthma, bronchial thermoplasty uses a small catheter to deliver controlled energy to the airways of the lung and reduce the amount of excessive airway smooth muscle. This reduction decreases the muscle’s ability to constrict the airways, decreasing the frequency of asthma attacks and improving quality of life. Sutter Roseville Medical Center seeks funding to purchase specialized bronchial thermoplasty equipment.

Pediatric Hearing Screeners-$30,000

Hearing tests are required prior to the start of preschool and kindergarten. Sutter Roseville Medical Center Foundation seeks philanthropic funding to replace outdated equipment in the Roseville Pediatric Clinic-the largest and busiest in the region-and train clinicians.

Pet Therapy-$25,000

Animals provide comfort and unconditional love. Studies have shown that pets can reduce stress and anxiety, improve vital signs, and reduce loneliness and depression. Sutter Roseville seeks program support for this valuable service. Funds will be used for informational materials, as well as to train and certify animals.

Unrestricted Fund-$120,000

Unrestricted annual support provides flexible funding that enables Sutter Roseville to respond to immediate and unexpected challenges and invest in new technologies or ideas that we cannot yet imagine.
