Policies and Visitor Information
Food and Drink
All outside food and drink brought into the hospital for you must be cleared with the nurse to insure your safety and health. This is because you may have special dietary needs. The physician, dietician, and speech therapist will assess your swallowing capabilities and any dietary needs or restrictions you may have.
Visiting hours at the SRI are flexible, preferably 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The morning is filled with therapeutic activities. You are welcome to have visitors during that time if they do not interfere with therapy. Otherwise, we request that visitors come after 2:00 p.m.
We know that pets are a very important part of a family and the patients recovery. We do allow pets to visit with a “pet pass” that can be obtained at the administration office. Pets are not allowed in patient rooms or treatment areas at any time. With a “pet pass” the patient can visit with the pet in designated areas. Please go to administration for more information.
