CT Scanners
Sutter Roseville Medical Center
Sutter Roseville Medical Center's two CT scanners offer patients the latest advances in computed tomography imaging. The LightSpeed Plus offers variable-speed scanning performed at sub-second speeds to produce exact 3D images of internal organs and structures. Improved scanning speed combined with software advances provide doctors with vivid images especially helpful in the vital moments after arrival in the emergency or trauma unit. The scanner's capabilities allow doctors to perform the most advanced CT imaging, including noninvasive angiography to look at blood flood and vessel abnormalities such as aneurysms. Images captured in digital format can then be transported across computer networks to doctors in other areas of the hospital, off-site offices, or even across country.
The hospital's spiral CT scanner also provides images within a few minutes and without requiring patients to remain in the scanner for long spans of time or to hold their breath while images are taken. The greater patient ease and faster image speeds give doctors the tools to diagnose conditions accurately and determine appropriate treatment.
Information on the theory and applications of traditional CT scan of the body and head is available in our health information section.
