Highly trained pharmacists provide around the clock pharmaceutical support for hospital and emergency department patients. Consulting with physicians in the care of their patients, our pharmacists review all medication orders, screen for allergies and potential therapeutic complications. Additionally, the pharmacists participate in emergency code situations and provide consultations on over seventy medication protocols.

Sutter Roseville Medical Center was one of the first hospitals in the Sacramento area to install a new technology the makes bedside delivery of patient medications even safer. Sutter Roseville uses advanced computerized bar-coding and databases to track medication orders. Helping to ensure the right dose of the right medicine is given to the right patient at the right time, this proven technology adds an extra layer of protection to patient safety. Currently, we are among the less than five percent of the nation’s hospitals to provide barcode scanning of medications to the patients at the bedside.
