    Adult & Pediatric Psychiatry Services offered through Sutter Center for Psychiatry


    Since 1958, Sutter Center for Psychiatry has been the regional leader in providing psychiatric and mental health services to adults, adolescents and children.     Call Center offered through Sutter Center for Psychiatry


    All requests for services are evaluated for the appropriate level of care of service whether inpatient, partial hospitalization, outpatient services, support group or education class.     Child & Adolescent Inpatient Services offered through Sutter Center for Psychiatry


    The child program, ages 5-12, focuses on developmental issues of school and family problems. Frequently, hyperactivity and depression are the presenting problems. The adolescent program, ages 13-17, emphasizes issues dealing with identity, often presenting with depression, substance abuse and/or aggressive behavior.   Click here to learn more.

    Child/Adolescent Hospitalization offered through Sutter Center for Psychiatry


    Services Partial hospitalization programs parallel the inpatient child/adolescent programs and offers intensive care for children who do not require the 24-hour care provided in the acute inpatient setting. Partial hospitalization is less restrictive in that it allows the staff to work with the child and family while the child is living at home.    Click here to learn more.

    Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) offered through Sutter Center for Psychiatry


    Sutter Center for Psychiatry offers Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) for inpatients and outpatients. All individuals considering ECT receive comprehensive psychiatric and medical evaluation.     Pediatric Mental Health Services offered through Sutter Children's Center, Sacramento


    Sutter Center for Psychiatry provides extensive psychiatric inpatient and partial hospitalization treatment plans for children ages 5-12 and adolescents ages 13-17. Sutter Counseling Center provides outpatient services for children in the Sacramento area. Services are funded by the Sacramento County Mental Health Plan and are limited to those who are Medi-Cal eligible (EPSDT) or authorized in an Individual Education Plan by their school district (AB 26.5).   Click here to learn more.

    Vagus Nerve Stimulation Therapy (VNS) offered through Sutter Center for Psychiatry


    Sutter Center for Psychiatry offers Vagus Nerve Stimulation (VNS) therapy as a treatment for adjunctive long-term or recurrent depression for patients 18 years of age or older who are experiencing a major depressive episode and have not had an adequate response to four or more antidepressant treatments.    Click here to learn more.
